Personal shopper

Daily Draw: Llewellyn's Classic Tarot, Page of Cups

I was reading today that this page is sartorially the most stylish. Whereas the Page of Pentacles wears expensive but practical clothes in fine fabrics his style is too safe and predictable for the Page of Cups who likes to be more creative.

When he appears it can be a reminder to treat yourself to a new item of clothing. As a shopping companion he would say cheap throwaway fashion is a false economy for you and not good for the environment. Far better to spend a little more on something really lovely, that is comfortable, suits you and which you will wear often. 'Think cost per wear' he whispers in your ear.

He would also encourage you to 'shop your wardrobe'. I can imagine him yanking out bright slacks, sequin tops, sparkly knits, rhinestone boots, handbags in their dustbags, all that stuff being saved for a special occasion and saying 'what are you waiting for?' Scraggy old leggings get 'the look' not because he's a snob but because he thinks you deserve better. Comfortable clothes don't have to be drab (back to the investment buys again).

Of course this page may appear simply to acknowledge your love of fashion and dressing up. I might have more in common with the cups courts than I thought...

  1. It is very hard for me to throw away cloths which are still "good". Luckily I do have my personal shopper and wardrobe organizer: My youngest daughter M. and yes she does take after this page a lot. I should appreciate her efforts more instead of taking it for granted. Going to give her hug right now! :)

    1. Same here and I think I inherited that from my mum who inherited that from granny who was young lady in the war....Your youngest sounds lovely. Hug her close.

  2. I'm one of those who would rather have daisies on her table than diamonds around her neck (and jeans rather than pretty dresses)! :D But I think everyone deserves to feel good in whatever they choose to wear. I saw (on the internet) a story where some men were no longer allowed to wear shorts so they started wearing skirts, lol.

    1. Hi I saw that too. A man sent home for wearing shorts who returned in his mothers dress and school boys who did a similar thing. FUnny and with the heat here fair enough!

PS i would go for daisies over diamonds any day :)

  3. Feng Shui advises us to rid our closets and dresser draws of things that are not worn or a bit worn out. If we hold on to that which we no long need or use just keeps our energy stuck. Good enough reason for me to put items in the bag for the local Goodwill and go buy me a new blouse.

    1. I find getting rid the worn out stuff easy. Like Ellen I find it harder to give up stuff that is still good (unworn). You are so right though it does keep my energy stuck. Perhaps having a google of Feng Shui wardrobes will give me the motivation I need to take action!

I hope you find a lovely blouse :)
