Daily Draw: Victorian Fairy Tarot, Ace of Autumn/Pentacles
The Ace of Pentacles was the February card in the 2017 spread I did at the beginning of the year. Interesting it has popped up again the day before the month begins.
According to the guide 'the aces represent the distilled essence of a suit in its purest form'. Autumn is work, harvest, and nesting. This card reminds me to complete what needs to be completed to make way for the new work of this year and any abundance that follows.
Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart.

Love the artwork in this deck. The star in the cut apple reminds me of being trustworthy and dependable, thus completing the harvest to be enjoyed. And nesting has such a cozy, comforting feeling to it. :)
ReplyDeleteMe too! The aces are especially beautiful in their simplicity. You are clever - I hadn't thought of the 'core' qualities of being trustworthy and dependable....
ReplyDeleteI guess the star made me think of being awarded a "gold star" for good work done. :D
DeleteI ignored and ignored this deck because I don't do fairy. Then Bev used it on her blog and I couldn't believe how wonderful it is, a top favorite now and I can hardly wait to use it again.
ReplyDeleteThis Ace could also be showing us that culling ever so often is a good thing. To weigh our life with things that no longer fit who we are, regardless of how intensely we let them into our lives. The one bad apple thing.
And then you posted it on your blog and it got my attention and it is now a favourite of mine too. Things lead to things...I've had triple helpings as I was using it for daily draws when I had no time to blog. Yes the little axe speaks to pruning away what no longer works for us.
DeleteI love apples. I forget to cut them sometimes on the cross so I can see the star pattern. Sometimes when I think of apples it brings forth a memory of childhood when climbing apple trees in the fall to get the best fruit equated heaven on earth.
ReplyDeleteSounds idyllic...a shame kids don't get to climb trees so much now (although I get the safety concerns!) Your comment reminds me I must remember to harvest my apples this year instead of leaving them to decay on the ground. If there isn't a heavenly pie post later in the year feel free to tell me off :)
DeleteThis ace reminds me of how the outside of the seed must decay in order to become an apple tree bearing fruit.
ReplyDeleteProductive decay - maybe hard to accept when we are too close but with a step back makes sense.
