Daily Draw: Margarete Petersen Tarot, Queen of Cups
Being water of water this queen represents fluidity and depth. This card reminds me there is more than one way to reveal a mood or express a feeling.
The heart may find its expression in a colour, a shape or a texture. The queen in her creative element is someone I am keen to know better.
She is such a gentle and caring mother, but you don't want to encounter her during one of her mood swings :D
ReplyDeleteMy first thoughts/memories were excessive emotional expression. Viewing this card from the lens of my own experiences I have forgotten the positive aspects...
DeleteShe reminds me of the goddess Tara:

She personifies wisdom and compassion in action (often seen stretching her foot to touch the ground).
I thought a deity but didn't know which one. An area of learning for me...
DeleteEllen is right. Queen of cups are usually caring and compassionate until one of those moods strike, then watch out!
ReplyDeleteIt is quite a trade off. Having been on receiving end of those moods on many occasions I am happy to do without the caring. Just seems too costly to me..
Deletethis is an amazing deck isn't it? If I remember right it took about 20 years to paint
ReplyDeleteYes I think it took 22 years. It is such a wonderful gift to readers, so many rich seams to mine.
