Yesterdaily Draw: The Wild Unknown Tarot, Mother of Cups and the High Priestess
These two cards have not easily resonated with me in the past. Perhaps a strong sign to pay more attention to them (which I have of course ignored).
Kneejerk 'nothing like me' might actually be the reaction of a Queen of Cups in need of recovery.
This High Priestess has knowingness that encompasses the shadows as well as the light. Incredibly composed her power has no need to roar. I feel my resistance to what I used to call the obtuse card eroding...
As these are the two psychics of the deck I got inspired to do some deck cleansing work. As luck would have it the timing is perfect. Tomorrow is a full moon and I am going to leave a couple of my favourite decks outside to catch its beams.
The possession of knowledge does not kill the sense of wonder and mystery. There is always more mystery.
Anais Nin, 1903-1977
What an interesting pair you drew; one intuitive that reaches downward and one that reaches outward. That Nin quote is a keeper!
ReplyDeleteI didn't notice the High Priestess reaching down...Only that they are both facing left or is it right?
DeleteI meant that the Queen reaches out in empathy to others while the Priestess dips into the well within. :)
DeleteAh right. I see yes that does make them an interesting duo. Something to think on....
DeleteEmbrace the questions, the void, the not knowing so you can be filled with the soothing never ending love of the Mother of Cups (I got her too today)
ReplyDeleteI'm learning that unlearning is very much underrated...
DeleteHappy Mother of Cups day :)

ReplyDeleteYou thought I wouldn't notice didn't you?
I've moon cleansed a number of things, including my breasts during cancer treatment
:D Not much gets past you!
DeleteI had no idea bodies could be moon cleansed. I love having these conversations...always learning. Thank you!
fear will make you try many things that your wouldn't in your right mind.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine. Sorry if I sounded flippant
DeleteI have often wondered when the cards are facing a certain direction, as with your draws. I think left yet really the characters are facing right. What say you?
ReplyDeleteI agree with you. As we read a spread they are definitely our left although facing their right. Yet if we place ourselves in the card then it is right? A bit of a brain tease...I wonder if these two encourage us to look left as that stimulates intuition?
DeleteYou maybe on to something there.
