Providence doesn't care

Daily Draw: Everyday Witch Tarot, Wheel of Fortune

I admit to feeling a bit uneasy to receive this card again. If I've set my intention why ask me to choose again? A warning perhaps?

Mulling it I think there are big opportunities in life and everyday ones which can add up to a big one or at least preparedness for when it comes along.

This card reminds me of my tendency to dream small. Lurking within there is a fear that dreaming big will trigger a providential backlash at the implied critique of my present fortunes.

It's a belief that sedimented in some hard life lessons in my twenties and I'm not sure I will ever unlearn it. All I can do is keep trying to move forward and if the wheels come off not take it so personally.

No one ever told me that grief felt so like fear.

  1. Maybe it has more to do with rolling with whatever comes rather than trying to stop the wheel (which can't be done)?

    1. Yes I think so which is why it is my current 'struggle card'.

  2. I'd love this deck if it weren't for the pointy hats.
The wheel has rolled across me so many times, it is a wonder I can even be seen, for being so flattened.

    1. Multiple run overs would affect one's view of the wheel. Hugs.

  3. If the wheel comes off get on your broomstick. There are other ways to move forward.

  4. I wonder who has more fun: the witch with her dreams or the cat who is playing and enjoying this moment?

    1. Yes now you mention it this is quite a playful rendition of the wheel especially compared with the medieval/renaissance inspired decks. Funny what we can project onto the cards sometimes...
